Looking for a full grown teddy bear and forever snuggle buddy? Teddy Roo is your guy. He is big on cuddles and kisses. If he can be right in your lap, that’s ideal for this guy. He is known at the rescue for his gentle spirit and sweet puppy eyes.

Teddy has been the star of the show at adoption events. He loves being the center of attention, soliciting hugs and kisses from everyone around! His cutely classic move is holding a paw up as he's asking for attention and pets; it's absolutely heart melting 🫠. He has been around kids at events and has been very gentle and patient with them.

Teddy Roo was rescued from the county shelter, where he was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. He was going to lose his life despite being happy, healthy, and full of life. He was covered in scars and wounds. Clearly this life has not been kind to him. Despite everything he has been through, he remains soft and lovable. He is a true survivor.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed about tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed is based on a best-guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
