DESCRIPTION
Hoedown is a sensitive soul who's still learning that the world can be a safe and predictable place. Found as a stray, his past is a bit of a mystery, and the busy shelter environment-with all its noise and constant activity-has been overwhelming for him. He often looks to his people for reassurance, especially when navigating in and out of his kennel or through unfamiliar spaces. While he has spent time in playgroup, Hoedown tends to prefer calmly coexisting with other dogs rather than engaging in active play, and he can become a bit overstimulated in high-energy settings. A brief stay in a dorm environment proved to be too much too soon, as the constant sounds and foot traffic made it difficult for him to relax and settle in. He was also becoming too nervous to even walk out of the dorm into the busy environment. Hoedown would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home with a consistent routine and a patient adopter who can give him the time, space, and reassurance he needs to build confidence and truly come out of his shell.
