Jet was found as a stray and taken to a rural shelter we help. He couldn’t put any weight on his back right leg, so he was going to be euthanized. Our volunteers met him at the shelter, and even though he was in pain, he kissed them. We were able to save Jet because one of our fosters agreed to bring him into her home. Our veterinarian determined that his leg had been broken for months so it needed to be amputated. He had the surgery on 4/9, and he is doing great now. He’ll be ready for adoption in May, and we hope someone will love him just the way he is.
Jet is a very sweet boy. He is the type of puppy that will bond with someone quickly. He is affectionate, and wants to be with people. Jet loves other dogs and has been great with children as young as 6.
Jet is 9 months old and weighs 36 pounds. We think he’s a Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is crate trained, house trained and leash trained.
Jet is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Jet can arrive in Waterford, Connecticut on 5/9. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt.
