A spirited Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix currently in Houston, TX, estimated to be one-year-old, whose essence is a whirlwind of joy wrapped in a stunning brown brindle coat.

Bean’s story begins during a rare Houston freeze, when this affectionate boy sought warmth and comfort by trotting into a family’s yard. Since then, he’s been safe and cared for, but now he’s ready for his next chapter. One filled with play, companionship, and endless love! Weighing in at around 40 pounds, Bean is a perfect medium-sized buddy with a big personality and an even bigger heart.

This playful, energetic dog thrives in the company of humans and is a true cuddlebug who loves toys, cozy blankets, and a good round of fetch. He has shown sweetness and curiosity around other dogs, though his interactions have been somewhat limited so far. Because of his strength and enthusiastic play style, Bean would likely do best with older children, approximately 8 years and up, who are comfortable with an active, athletic dog. He would do well with a pet parent who can continue building his impulse control through structure, exercise, and clear boundaries. He knows basic commands such as “sit” and “no,” and is looking for continued guidance with positive reinforcement and consistency.

Bean is happiest when surrounded by his people and may feel anxious when separated, so a family that enjoys including their dog in daily life would be the perfect fit.
