DESCRIPTION
The Bridgerton Litter was born on February 1, 2026, and their little lives nearly ended before they truly began. At just days old, these ten precious puppies—eight boys and two girls—were placed on the euthanasia list alongside their devoted mama at the Oklahoma City shelter. Due to a miscommunication, they were moments away from being lost, but they were pulled in the nick of time and given the second chance they deserved.
They entered our care at only ten days old, already battling kennel cough from the shelter environment. Their first weeks have not been easy. Tiny chests working hard to breathe, fragile bodies needing extra monitoring, and round-the-clock care to help them push through. But these little fighters are doing exactly that. Each day we watch them gain weight, grow stronger, and inch closer to the healthy, playful puppies they are meant to be.
The Bridgerton babies are resilient, determined, and proof that timing matters. What began on a euthanasia list is now turning into a story of survival, growth, and hope. They are thriving under loving care, and their journey is only just beginning.
ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
