MEET MAXIMUS
1 yr old • American Staffordshire Terrier Mix • 60 lbs
Maximus is a one-year-old, 60-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart as big as his photogenic smile. He was discovered as the unofficial neighborhood dog, happily playing with children on their way home from school, and he readily jumped into the rescue vehicle, ready to find his forever home.
This handsome boy is as good-natured as he is beautiful. Maximus is a quiet, well-mannered gentleman who is both leash and potty trained. He possesses a wonderful medium energy level, balanced by a deep love for quiet cuddles and relaxing in his own cozy space with a soft blanket. His loyalty and loving nature shines through once he warms up, though he can be a bit shy at first.
Maximus gets along wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and people. His past as a neighborhood friend shows his inherent love for everyone he meets. A true peanut butter enthusiast, he is independent yet deeply affectionate, and has a calm and easygoing nature.
Maximus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all essential vaccines.
Maximus is located in Houston, Texas. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.
ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
