Jorge is a sweet, resilient two-year-old American Staffordshire mix with a heart as big as his smile. He loves toys, people, and other dogs—and his joyful spirit shines wherever he goes.

Jorge’s story is a touching one. His beloved owner was deported, and neighbors took Jorge in. Sadly, he was attacked by their two dogs and ended up in the shelter with a neck injury. Through it all, Jorge never lost his gentle, loving nature. He was so grateful to the shelter staff that they named him Jorge after the ambulance driver who helped rescue him. Even while injured, he wagged his tail nonstop, happily carrying around a toy a nurse had given him—especially proud to show it to his rescuer.

Jorge is truly a survivor with an unbreakable spirit. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and does well with other dogs. He loves people of all ages and is an absolute social butterfly who brings joy to everyone he meets. He is also ready for adventure whether it’s a car ride, going out for a walk, loves pup cups, greets everyone he meets like they have been friends forever. He is just amazing young pup.
