Nessie didn’t always know what it felt like to be full.

When she was found, her body told a story no dog should ever have to live—emaciated, exhausted, and running on nothing but survival. You could count every rib, every bone… but somehow, her spirit was still there. Still gentle. Still trusting. Still hoping someone would finally choose her.

And now… she’s ready for that someone.

Nessie has come such a long way. She’s healthy, she’s safe, and she’s finally getting to experience the life she always deserved—the soft beds, the full meals, the quiet moments where she doesn’t have to fight to survive anymore.

She does best with structured feeding and should be fed separately from other dogs—after going hungry for so long, food is something she takes seriously. Because of this, we don’t recommend free feeding or high-value, long-lasting chews like bones or rawhides in a multi-dog home. With proper management, she coexists just fine and does well with dogs of all sizes.

She would thrive in a home that understands her past and is willing to continue showing her that she never has to worry about her next meal again.

Nessie does great with other dogs when introduced properly (as all dogs should be), and she’s learning more every day what it means to just… be a dog.

We’re not sure how she is with cats.
