This beautiful, stocky sweetheart recently came to us through no fault of her own. After her original owner moved somewhere that did not allow pets, Luna was left in the care of an 83-year-old family member who simply could not manage her strength. Wanting what was best for her, he made the difficult decision to help Luna find a new home.

At 7-8 years old and 65 pounds, Luna is the perfect blend of playful and easygoing. She has spent her entire life as an indoor companion and has excellent manners to show for it. Luna is house-trained, knows several commands including sit, stay, down, and come, and has quickly won over everyone she has met since arriving at the shelter.

According to her previous family, Luna lived with children and was friendly, playful, quiet, and easygoing. She also successfully lived with a female dog and has done wonderfully during both male and female dog introductions here at the shelter. She truly seems to have never met a stranger.

What we love most about Luna is her incredibly gentle nature. She greets everyone with a happy smile, a wagging tail, and the hopeful belief that every person is her new best friend. Despite her sturdy build, she's really just a big softie who wants to be close to her people.

Luna is current on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and deworming. She may have some mild skin sensitivities that will likely benefit from routine veterinary care and a loving home environment.
