Shasta gets along wonderfully with other dogs and she’s been exposed to a wide variety of animals. She does well with cats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and even a goose. The only animals she struggles with are rabbits, so a rabbit‑free home is important.

She’s crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows a great set of commands, including: Sit, Wait, Load up, Okay (her release word), Leave it, Cross (she waits for permission to cross the road), Paw, High Five and Get it.

Her recall still needs work, so she should remain on leash during outdoor adventures for now. With consistency and patience, she’ll continue to grow.

Shasta will do best in a home with older kids or no kids, simply because her energy and enthusiasm are better suited to a more mature household. She’s an ideal match for outdoorsy people who enjoy staying active and want a dog who can keep up.
