Meet Zeiss! Zeiss is a peculiar fellow. He is a certified service animal and was with a military veteran with a traumatic brain injury. In the last year he has slowly stopped doing the tasks that he was expected to do. I don't blame him, 7 years is a good run. His person moved out of state into an apartment and opted not to take Zeiss with him. The peculiar part is Zeiss is not a fan of unsolicited human affection. He prefers to be left alone unless he decides he wants a head scratch. Don't linger though, he will walk away and tell you about your wrongs.
He gets along with other dogs well, big and small, old and young. He exists just fine in the pack. He loves water. He will splash around in the pool or play catch me if you can with the hose. He is fully house trained and smart, will play fetch and tug of war without a problem. He would do best in an adults only home, the little ones might not understand his grumpy old man stance. If you have room in your home and heart for a good boy that you can enjoy being happy to watch him be happy, please click to apply!
