male, large, young

DESCRIPTION

Hi, my name is Argo! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into most homes. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Aloof, Goofy, Vocal
-Can Live with Kids: Likely okay with dog-savvy respectful children of any age.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown History. Not Recommended due to breed known for high prey drive.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, all introductions done at WHS.
-Can do Apartment Living: No Thanks, Argo is vocal (not suitable for most apartments) and Northern Breeds really need more space to truly thrive.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: Nope
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Nope, but would be beneficial!
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a Neuter and Microchip!
-Additional Information:
This sweet boy came to the shelter as a stray and, sadly, wasn’t in the best condition. His coat is severely matted, despite that, Argo has shown us nothing but kindness and resilience. He’s soaking up affection and learning that people can be gentle and loving.

Because Argo is so young, he’s looking for a family ready for a lifelong commitment and should be financially prepared for routine vet visits, quality nutrition, and professional grooming. Argo just needs a little extra love and someone willing to show him that his hard days are behind him. If you’re ready to give this goofy, sweet boy the stable and caring home he deserves, Argo is ready to give you his whole heart.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
