Meet Raya 🌙🐱
Raya spent her first known months living outdoors, being fed for nearly five long months while surviving the elements. She was quite the little huntress—pouncing on voles and even snacking on bird seed when cat food wasn’t her first choice!
When extreme cold set in, Raya was humanely trapped and taken to CRHS, where she was spayed and ear-tipped. Initially thought to be too feral to socialize, Riley’s Rescue stepped in to give her a chance—and we’re so glad we did.
Since being with us, Raya has not shown aggression or combative behavior. She coexists peacefully with other cats and is allowed to roam freely in the rescue. While she is still shy, we work with her every day, giving her the time, patience, and gentle affection she needs to build trust and learn that people can be safe and kind.
Raya may be adoptable to the right home—one that understands she will need a slow, patient acclimation period, daily positive interaction, and lots of grace as she continues to come out of her shell. With time, consistency, and love, we believe Raya has the potential to truly blossom.
If you have a calm home, a big heart, and the patience to let Raya move at her own pace, she just might be your girl. 💕
