Meet Janis Joplin. She's still very much a baby discovering the world one tiny step at a time. Every day brings something new to investigate, whether it's a feather toy, a cozy blanket, a sunny window, or a person she's just met. Watching her slowly piece together how exciting life can be is one of the sweetest things you'll ever see.

Like so many young kittens, Janis is still figuring out this whole "being a kitten" thing. She simply hasn't had many opportunities to experience the big world yet, so everything is still brand new to her. She likes to take a moment to look things over before deciding they're safe, but once she realizes there's nothing to worry about, her playful little personality starts to shine.
As she gets comfortable, you'll see the curious side of Janis come to life. She enjoys exploring at her own pace, investigating anything that catches her attention, and discovering all the fun that comes with being a kitten. Every day seems to bring a little more confidence, and it's been incredibly rewarding watching her become braver as she realizes the world isn't such a scary place after all.
Janis also has the sweetest, gentlest personality. She enjoys kind attention, soft affection, and being around people who make her feel safe. She's still learning that humans are pretty wonderful, and every positive experience helps her continue growing into a confident, happy little cat.
Because she's still just a baby, Janis is soaking up every new experience like a little sponge. This is such a fun age because you get to watch her personality continue to unfold right in front of you. The kitten you bring home today will keep growing, learning, and becoming more confident as she experiences all the wonderful parts of life with her new family.
Janis would thrive in a home that's excited to help her discover just how big and wonderful the world can be. She's looking for people who will celebrate each new milestone, encourage her curiosity, and enjoy watching a tiny little kitten blossom into an amazing adult cat. If you've been hoping to be part of that journey from the very beginning, Janis is ready to take those next little steps with you.

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.
The Greater Houston area faces one of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the U.S. We’re a nonprofit on a mission—to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs at risk, while promoting spay/neuter outreach in the community. When you adopt, you save more than one life— the one you adopted, and the space opened up to save another.
