Ernie Muppet - Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Ernie is the definition of a happy, fun-loving kitten. At around ten months old, he is bursting with personality, sweetness, and that irresistible kitten charm that makes it impossible not to fall in love. He is a gentle, soulful kitten who likes to assess the room before diving in. But once he gets to know you? He is officially ALL IN.

Once Ernie knows you are his person, he becomes the definition of a loyal companion and the ultimate remote coworker. Whether you are typing away at your desk or moving around the house, Ernie loves to be right by your side. He will happily curl up in your lap to supervise your work, or affectionately wind through your feet to keep you company. If you are sitting down, Ernie is ready to soak up all the pets and chin scratches you can give.

Because of his gentle nature, Ernie is a total peacekeeper and gets along wonderfully with other cats! He takes new environments in stride, adjusting with a quiet confidence that brings a sense of comfort and ease wherever he goes.

Once adjusted, he is total goofball and will let his inner kitten shine! He has a slightly silly energy that will make you smile every single day. He chases toys with enthusiasm, pounces with perfect timing, and loves to invent his own games.

One of his absolute favorite things in the world is playing with his foster brothers. He is full of pure joy during playtime - a time dedicated to wrestle, chase, and zoom around like a team of tiny acrobats. After a big play session, you will almost always find him curled up in a content, purring pile with his kitty buddies.

If you are looking for a kitten who is gentle, deeply affectionate, cat-friendly, and ready to be your dedicated best friend, Ernie is waiting to meet you!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
