Crouton Cruncher Chet - Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Columbia, South Carolina

Chet is a handsome 2-year-old orange tabby with the cutest white feet, a bright white chest, and a personality that has absolutely blossomed in foster care. After surviving a house fire and suddenly having his whole world turned upside down, Chet understandably needed some time to feel safe again. Now that he’s settled in, we’re getting to see just how fun, playful, and lovable this boy really is!

First things first: Cruncher is a BALL FANATIC. If it rolls, he’s chasing it. Fuzzy balls, crunchy balls, balls with bells, bouncy balls—he does not discriminate. Toss one across the room and Cruncher is ready to go! When he isn’t busy perfecting his ball-chasing skills, one of his favorite places to hang out is his window perch, where he can relax and keep an eye on everything happening outside.

Cruncher has also discovered just how much fun it is to have a feline buddy. He’s started launching little “sneak attacks” on his foster’s big male cat, which usually turns into the two of them wrestling and playing together. He really enjoys the company of other cats and would likely love having a playful feline friend in his forever home.

Dogs aren't exactly at the top of Cruncher's favorite-things list, but he's making progress there too! He no longer runs away from his foster's dog and is learning that sharing his space with a canine isn't so scary after all.

It’s been wonderful watching this once-cautious boy realize that he’s safe enough to play, explore, and be silly again. After everything Cruncher has been through, he deserves a forever home with plenty of windows to watch, a feline friend to wrestle with, and—most importantly—a very well-stocked ball collection.
