Meet Oliver, a big (12 lbs.), handsome brown tabby who proves that you shouldn't judge a book by its "crusty" cover! At about 3.5 years old, this resilient guy was brought to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter by a kind neighbor, and he’s been nothing but a total sweetheart ever since. Oliver is a world-class mush ball. His favorite hobbies include: 1) Melting into your lap. 2) Requesting (and receiving) endless pets. 3) Mastering the art of the cuddle.
Oliver has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). While it sounds intimidating, it’s simply a part of who he is, not a definition of his life. FIV+ cats can live long, happy, and healthy lives just like any other cat. Because it is typically only spread through deep bite wounds, many FIV+ cats can safely live with non-FIV roommates. We encourage you to chat with your vet to learn how easy it is to care for a lover-boy like Oliver.
If you’re looking for a giant, purring companion to warm your lap, come meet Oliver! He is currently waiting for his forever human at the PetSmart on Academy and Wyoming
