Tabby and Tortoiseshell Cats Available for Adoption

Mama kitty is a very sweet and lovely 1 year old cat, weighing 8 lbs. who is fully vetted and needs a home. She was abandoned by a renter who moved away and left her outside Sept, 2025 with nothing but a bowl of water. Pregnant, Mama Kitty soon had kittens under the old house. A volunteer from our shelter fed her for months and eventually captured her and her kittens. Mama Kitty is now relieved to have safety from predators and be in a foster home. The volunteer and foster person had her spayed, vaccinated, felv/fiv tested (negative) and microchipped and wishes to find an adopter for her.

Mama Kitty is a beautiful Tabby/Tortie with lovely colors, markings and eyes. She has gray stripes with copper, cream and brown undertones and patches and leopard spots on her belly. This gray Tabby/Tiger mixed with Tortoiseshell kitty is gentle, calm, sweet and affectionate and enjoys attention but is just fine on her own for hours at a time. She will play with toys or strings if in the mood but is more interested in looking out windows or hanging out in the sun or on a screen porch most of the time. She does not scratch furniture or have bad habits and is happy with very little. She gets along with other cats but would just as soon do her own thing and doesn't interact with others much. Mama Kitty is slightly shy and easily spooked over new circumstances so prefers a quiet household without a lot of chaos. However, she has relaxed and come out of her shell a lot and also is surprisingly calm and quiet riding in a car in a pet carrier and handling vet procedures and visits.
