Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Miley came from a cat colony and was the first one successfully rescued. Her siblings have also been corralled and will also enter the adoption stream. Miley must have a young playful cat friend in her new home so she can have someone to play and cuddle with.

At just 5 months, Miley is learning that indoor life is not as bad as it seems. She came to us shy, but has quickly opened up showing us her personality day by day! Miley is very curious — she loves watching the world from the window and climbing onto furniture to find the perfect cozy hiding spot. During playtime, Miley loves to hunt the laser dot and a crinkled paper ball tied on a shoelace. While Miley doesn’t like being picked up just yet, she’s making wonderful progress and is starting to enjoy pets and head scratches.

Miley eats wet food twice a day and always has access to dry food. She also loves Churu and Temptations and will happily eat it from your fingers.

She is still shy and can be skittish at times, but she wants you to know that she’ll eventually come around — she’s just unsure and a bit afraid. With time, love and patience, Miley will melt into your hands (and your heart), especially when you scratch the side of her head.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
