DESCRIPTION

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Mickey and Murphy were kittens found outside by a kind neighbour during a recent cold snap, and brought to a known cat person’s home so they can find a real home to belong to rather than an uncertain fate outside. They are super friendly and sociable kittens, and must be adopted together.

Mickey and Murphy are very social and well-adjusted kittens even when they were just found. This led to speculation that the boys were born indoors and then dumped outside, since kittens born outdoors typically are not so friendly and comfortable with people and indoor space.

Mickey is a kitten with brown tabby markings on his head, back and tail. Although his looks may be ordinary, his personality is anything but! This is an awesome kitten full of curiosity and spunk, happy to explore any space he is put into and openly engages the people in the room with no sign of shyness. Right away, Mickey zeroed in on the person and wanted to be picked up, kissed and cuddled, and was super happy with all the attention and petting he got. If a purring kitten in arm or on lap is the image you have in mind, Mickey is the real deal to make that a reality!

He has a great appetite along with impeccable litter habits. And for a kitten so young and recently weaned, he has perfect poops! No small feat, assuredly, and a good indication of a robust gut flora. Mickey channels all that healthy energy into climbing cat trees, running through tunnels, smacking springs, balls and pompoms around, and jumping at wand toys. So far, he has not met a toy he doesn’t like!

Mickey and brother Murphy are perfect kittens with wonderful temperaments any family would be lucky to have. Although they have yet to meet dogs or kids, their sweet friendliness make that a mere matter of time and proper introduction before they are completely a part of the family. Come meet them and fall in love!!

Would you like to make Mickey and Murphy a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
