***Hux is a lover, not a fighter (for the most part), and enjoys the company of sedate cat friends matching his chill temperament. He must be adopted to a home where cat buddies await his arrival.
This happy-go-lucky cat is always ready to play! Hux is ready to become your household white noise machine (the first thing you’ll notice about this handsome orange cat is his constant, steady purring). Between that, his beautiful trill, and a few meows here and there, Hux will always let you know how he’s feeling (that feeling is almost always happy).
Hux is looking to settle down after an early life of adventure outside. His time as a colony cat came to an end after a run-in with a coyote. The encounter left him with scars on his back, but in Hux’s words…“You should see the other guy!” Every time Hux retells the story, the coyote gets bigger.
Hux’s wound is healing well, though it’ll take a while before the fur around it fully grows back. For everything he’s been through, Hux remains confident and unafraid around new humans and other cats. Since his time as a colony cat, Hux has sought after new cat friends to bond with. He would be a good fit in a home with other cats who are open to welcoming him into their circle.
Hux’s favourite toys are balls, springs, and a Cat Dancer (I imagine he’ll go wild for wands, too). If nobody’s around, he will whack his ball across the room, making his own fun. Hux is also a climber. In his foster home, his favourite hang-out spot was atop the fridge. He often naps in his cat carrier too, so make sure he has a quiet, dark space to tuck away to recharge. Hux also is a big fan of cardboard scratchers, among his favourite objects to loaf on!
Surprisingly, Hux isn’t as crazy about treats as he is for his regular meals. He’ll chase at a single kibble long before he touches a tube treat. This makes him very easy to wrangle when needed (without something to lure him in, he’s a slippery one)!
In addition to being pet behind the ears, on his face, and all down his back, Hux loves a good brush.
Hux eagerly awaits his next adventure, with you, your cats, and many happy days ahead!
