DESCRIPTION

***Miss Congeniality Freckles must have a playful cat buddy or two in her new home. How’s about a big serving of brother Gravy? The two of them get along great, and Gravy can do with a helping of Freckles’ confidence to ease him into his new life.

Freckles is the outgoing one between her and her brother Gravy. She's not shy at all — when you walk into the room, she’ll come right up to greet you, rubbing against your legs and purring before you’ve even sat down. She’s generally quiet but will make sure you know if she’s feeling a bit lonely and wanting attention.

She’s very food motivated, so bonding with her is easy as long as you bring the goods. A treat or some wet food goes a long way, but her favourites appear to be Churus and catnip.

When it comes to toys, Freckles has her own ideas. She’s not that interested in the store-bought ones, but give her a hair tie or a random household object and suddenly she’s engaged! She’s still growing into her playful side, finding new things to bat around every day.

She loves being brushed and will lean into it, purring the whole time. She also seems to really enjoy zoom calls — she’ll rub all over you and make sure she’s on camera. Your colleagues will get to know her too!

Freckles is well-behaved, great with her litter box, and keeps her clawing to approved scratching spots. She would do wonderfully with her brother Gravy, or in another home with a young, social cat looking for a friend.

Would you like to make Freckles, and maybe with a side of Gravy too, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
