***Floyd was abandoned at a partnered AVA adoption centre. Despite this upheaval, he is a sweet and friendly boy. But since we do no have any history of his past dealings with other pets, and his foster has not any either, perhaps Floyd would be fine as the only reigning king of his domain, and be someone’s best furfriend instead.
It took a couple of weeks before Floyd finally relaxed into his foster home and began sorting out how he would like his world to be. All that initial hisses became kisses and he really appreciated the foster’s patience in letting him set the pace. Floyd is clear in his likes and dislikes, and once boundaries are established and respected, he settled down in earnest to charm and bond with the person closest to him.
He loves chin scratches, and leans blissfully into the petting hand. A prone person is an invitation to lie on the chest for a closeup snuggle. Although he is still not completely onboard with being brushed or have his tummy rubbed, as long as his person knows that and not push too hard or too fast, Floyd is happy to let you know exactly what he is comfortable with and then settle down to enjoy all the loving pets.
Floyd is very playful with all the toys he has, and he has a lot! Tunnels, jingly balls, stuffies, whatever is put in front of him, he’ll check it out and enjoy it immensely. What he is known for though, is the adorable way of flopping over onto his back and gazing up at you! He does this constantly, and although it’s not an invitation to rub his tummy, it is utterly charming and cute. You can’t help but go, ‘awwwww!’ whenever he does the belly roll!
Although he was given wet food, Floyd’s tummy disagreed with it, and dry adult kibbles seem to be the way to go in keeping his poops nice and formed. He loves a fresh water bowl, and that will help to offset the dry food diet.
Floyd is hoping for a family who will be patient with him and let him open up at his own pace. He promises that he will, once he is sure that he is safely home at last. This is a confident, affectionate and handsome kitty eager to find his own person or family to bond to, and can finally settle down to live the best life.
