Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Max is an awesome 3-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on April 2, 2026 along with his companions (Lizzie and Milo) for a very sad reason ... Their owner (who had loved them very much) had passed away recently, and there wasn't anyone who could give them a home.

Max has a brown tabby short smooth coat with white markings on his chest/belly, white paws, a long ringed tail, and a handsome face with golden eyes, a teeny tiny white stripe above his brown velvet nose, and extra-long white whiskers.

This sweet boy has a lovable, affectionate disposition and an outgoing, Type A personality. Max loves attention from his people friends, and he is good with other cats.

Max was neutered on April 6, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 8.7 lbs that day.

Max was given vaccinations, dewormer, and flea treatment on April 7, 2026.

These photos of Max were taken on April 4th 2026. He posed like a centerfold model for Cat Fancy Magazine .. Max looked quite dashing while he gave us his best 'Don Juan' pose and gazed at the camera lens.

Max is enjoying a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room. His companions (Milo and Lizzie) are currently sharing a large cat tower in the lobby/hallway of our shelter.

Max would love to find another home with someone who would love him as much as his beloved mistress did.
