Tabby and Domestic Medium Hair Cats Available for Adoption

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Muffin was rescued from the recycling plant where the cat population was out of control. AVA and other agencies are trying to contain the situation with TNR, assessment and if adaptable, finding them good homes.

Muffin is a lovely medium-haired, fawn-coloured tabby girl who has retained much of her cautious, skittish ways. With her profusion of ear tufts, white whiskers and quizzical look, you can’t help but be charmed despite her timid greetings.

Fortunately, Muffin is a fiend for kitten Churus, and with continued treat bribes and timely socialization strategies, her resistance can be chipped away gradually. She loves wet food as well, and is happy to chow down or lick it off your fingers while accepting gentle strokes. When she is sleepy or feeling relaxed, she enjoys soft pets too, as long as the person is still and quiet. All good signs of her adapting to human contact!

Muffin enjoys the company of other playful kittens, and must have a playmate similar in play style but hopefully more outgoing in nature, so Muffin can continue to grow her confidence and trust following the lead of the other cat. She loves all kinds of toys, cubbies, huts and cat trees, and would do well to have all that plus the company of a cat buddy or two to be her life coaches and best friends.

Muffin is a lucky kitty to have been rescued so she doesn’t have to live in the inhospitable environment of a recycling plant with all the dangerous equipments, loud noises and constant traffic. Instead, a loving home, warm bed and plenty of yummy food will be her future. With a patient, understanding and loving family, Muffin’s timid shyness will graduate to a sweet companionship. Give her the time, space and lots of treats, and Muffin will be your heart girl.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
