Meet Coco, a lovely Siamese mix who was kept isolated in a room for over 7 months in an attempt to breed her. When the breeding was unsuccessful, the owner no longer had interest in keeping her and abandoned her. Left to be cared for by another who was unable to keep Coco, a chance encounter led Coco to Second Chance where she is now in foster care.
The foster Mom says "Coco loves attention and rolls on her back for belly rubs but gets very nervous when I hold her. All she can think about is wanting back in her cage. Probably because she's used to that. Anyone who gets her is gonna need alot of patience & a quiet atmosphere for her to feel safe. So with that being said, she just needs the perfect home. She is such a doll you can't help but love her. She never swipes, bites, hisses, or anything mean".
From being kenneled and living alone for so long Coco is tentative. We can see her potential and her longing to trust and be loved but also very scared to believe this can be true. Yes, Coco will need a patient adopter and allow Coco to trust on her own timeline but we very much believe she will. As stated, she has a pleasant demeanor and is easy to care for. We believe a quieter home with a routine would be best for Coco, ideally in a home where someone is present more often than not to provide her pets and reassurance. A home with older resentful children may be okay otherwise a single adopter or couple would be ideal. Coco hasn't had much cat interaction so for this reason we believe she would do best as an only cat with a possible future introduction of a calm, friendly kitty once Coco is more confident.
If you want to meet this sweet girl, once you have an approved application a visit will be arranged at the foster home for a meet and greet.
Coco has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Coco has an approximate birthdate of 09-07-2023. Her adoption fee is $95.
