Whopper Jr was trapped for TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, release) at a Burger King parking lot where a care giver feeds a colony of cats. When we got him TNVR'd. we discovered he was friendly so we kept him and he no longer has to live the "where is my next meal and will I freeze to death" life of an unowned community cat. He is shy, especially at first, so his home will need to be pretty calm with no young children or yapping dogs. He enjoys being pet and after a couple days, he began giving me head butts. He hasn't done that in a little bit and now that he is not in a cage, he is a little anxious about being picked up but he has so much potential. After only 2 days loose in my office, he cautiously approaches for pets and get a wand toy out and he is ready to play! He really likes his roommate, Seagram, they were best friends at first site, so he would love to stay with her or go to a home with another playful young cat. Meet Whopper Jr by completing our online adoption application. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
