Say howdy to the newest member of our shelter, Rick the Cat! We don't know much about this little cowboy yet, but we can already tell he will bring lots of happiness to his new family. We'll share more information as we get to know Rick the Cat better!

Rick the Cat has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Rick the Cat can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Rick the Cat's care.
