Available March 22nd
Alex and been through a lot to get here today. He’s finally ready to be adopted! A Persian from Kuwait, found on a street by a kind person who sought help for him. He was extremely thin, dehydrated, matted, and dirty. He didn’t even look like a Persian back then. His dehydration led to a skin tear, and although it healed very nicely thanks to vets in Kuwait, he still has a big scar on his back from it.
Alex is an outgoing, sweet boy who loves attention and being close to his people. He’s the kind of cat who will happily rub against your legs and follow you around just to be nearby. While he’s not a big fan of being held, he’ll tolerate short sessions on occasion. Despite his gloriously plush fur, brushing isn’t his favorite activity, so he may need routine haircuts to keep mats from forming.
Alex can be a bit quirky and occasionally feisty, which just adds to his charm. He would do best as an only cat. He hasn’t been around dogs before, but many Kuwait cats adjust well to calm, cat-savvy dogs with proper introductions.
And he promises he’s not really mad — that’s just his face!
Alex has a history of mouth ulcers and suspected stomatitis. He has undergone a full mouth extraction (FME) and has been treated with steroids to help manage inflammation. Since his surgery was recent, it’s still too early to know whether he will need ongoing steroids or other medications for long-term management.
Est DOB March 2024, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/Felv negative.
Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our pet store partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and/or All Paws).
Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
