Meet Boogie & Bayla!
Bayla was living in an abandoned house with a ton of other kitties and most were pretty feral and we knew could never be released- Bayla however decided she was ready to come inside, and she’s not going back. It takes her a while to warm up and really trust you, it’s been months and she lets her foster mom love on her, when she decides- she’s a diva for sure. But oh her hair is SO soft. As you can see, Bayla likes boxes. She’s got a cardboard addiction. She really prefers the strawberry LIMITED EDITION box… I think she’s trying to remind us how special she is. She’s not wrong. You’ll instantly be under her green mystical eye trance and give her anything you’ve got to offer. She will come running to the door to greet you and then act scared but really really wants your love, in her time and on her terms.
Boogie however… if you aren’t petting with both hands… and telling him how handsome he is, and rubbing his belly, and holding him like a baby… he will tell you ALL ABOUT IT. He’s a talker, and a lover, and a total HAM. No really, I’ve had Christmas hams that weighed less. He’s HUGE. Pretty sure last time we weighed he was over 2 and when he stretches out his body is like 34” (I know because that’s my inseam). He’s got some… quirks… if you pet the booty- which he LOVES. He air bites, or love nibbles you, nothing hard. He’s got a bit of a foot and slipper and shoe fetish. And his bank account can’t afford only feet so yours will have to suffice. Oh and rugs. You gotta have some rugs- he lives for rolling around on them.
Boogie was living a pretty sweet life between some older family homes until… he got sick and nobody really wanted to claim him… or the vet bill. We found him barely able to breathe- he had a horrible uri (hence the name boogie). We immediately got him into safety and to the vet. He cleared right up with his antibiotics and hasn’t looked back since. He is FIV+ but you can check out info on that here: (insert link). Just means you have to keep a little closer eye on him. Poses no threat to Bayla or any other kitties!
Bayla and Boogie met at their foster home. They were in separate kitty condos and talking to each other and flirting across the way, so we caved and let them meet. It was instant. Bayla went right to work grooming Boogie (ahem, he’s a little chubby and can’t reach everything like he should be able to). Boogie showed her that the humans aren’t scary and bring the snacks. He gives her the confidence she lacks when it comes to being loved.
They’re a pretty incredible pair that will make the absolute best house kitties you could ask for.
If you think you are the right match for Bayla & Boogie, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1doqwbKyo7ZFi9Wq2ss-et4DLqM7esQfvEUdXVZBnA98/viewform?edit_requested=true&pli=1
Our adoption fee is $600 for the pair, this includes vetting, transport (we typically can get within 1-2 hours of most places) and our animals all go home with an adoption bag to help them transition to their new home!
We will NEVER ask or accept funds until your pets are in your hands. Please beware of scams!
All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their fur-ever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!
Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line.
We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non-family personal references, a home video tour, and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals.
Please feel free to send a video to our email or Facebook upon submitting an application; this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview.
You must be an approved adopter to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.
Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters!
