NAOMI is a female-spayed short hair black cat, born about March 2021. She was rescued as a stray kitten, then accepted by YAPS, then adopted January 2022. Per her prior owner: "she's reserved, calm, good with children & other cats, good with some dogs. Naomi is a fine cat, & has no issues." Very reluctantly, the owner had to relinquish Naomi back to YAPS February 2026 because of a family member's cat allergy. We find her to be stressed from the recent loss of her prior home of four years, so she usually doesn't come to you for affection from her resting place. She is gentle, affectionate, & may "talk" to you with short meows as you approach her. She LOVES being petted in her resting place - often purrs softly, "kneads biscuits", & nuzzles you in appreciation. When adopted again she should initially be placed in a "safe room", to gradually adjust to her new surroundings.
