Miss Sagwa was labelled one of the more vicious pregnant moms that our special feral foster had ever accepted. Sagwa was so intense we had an experienced man that is very strong help with litter and transitioning to a carrier. When you watch Sagwa now it's heart breaking, we learned in foster care she would look through a screen into the main house. The only ferals interested in the main house, came from a home, Sagwa was a dumped, unspayed. Her kittens are adopted and thriving and Sagwa is incredibly relaxed, never looks for trouble and will come around with time and love! This girl is a diamond in the rough, we love her! This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!

A cat's behavior in the shelter may not be what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Most often, in a home, they thrive!
Kitten Policy: Kittens must be able to socialize with other young cats or dogs as playmates, as it is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.
Due to demand, we do not place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet all cats or kittens available for adoption at the time of visit.
If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/
