Meow Village is pleased to introduce Obsidian. Originally placed as a Meow Village barn cat, Sid worked hard in spite of her small size. When her caretaker noticed Sid had an upper respiratory infection, the veterinarian discovered that she had lost all her teeth and so hunting is off her resume! Sid has happily adjusted to life indoors and has learned to enjoy soft food and human care. Regular veterinary attention has helped with Sids overall health along with the discovery that she is allergic to poultry.
Obsidian has become a friendly, gentle indoor cat. She enjoys visitors, although she will wait to be sure they are safe before introducing herself. She does not like to be picked up and will probably never be a lap cat, but Sid seeks quiet affection in her own way. Once she trusts you, if you lie down, she will climb to your left shoulder, rest across your neck, press her head under your chin, and purr softly. It is her way of saying thank you, and it is a privilege to receive.
Obsidian needs a calm home, a consistent routine, regular veterinary care (her foster has details), and some help with grooming. She enjoys having her undercoat brushed out! Her perfect adopter will devote steady, loving attention to this special cat who has overcome so much. Sid is ready for her forever home. Are you ready to meet her?
If you are inspired to care for this special kitty, please text her foster Tanya at 503-317-4728 (located in Beaverton, OR) for more information.
Note: Meow Village is an all foster-based rescue, so inquiries about kitties should be directed to their foster family Thank you!
