What a very sweet cat Chess (Miss Kitty) is! It took her a few weeks to get settled into her foster home, but once she felt comfortable, her loving personality truly began to shine. Chess absolutely loves cuddling on a cozy blanket in your lap and being petted from head to tail. During her time in foster care, she has shown that she enjoys sitting on the back of a couch or chair to look out the window and observe the world outside. She would likely thrive with a cat tower where she can scratch, climb, and perch up high to keep an eye on everything going on around her. As she has continued to settle in, Chess has become more playful, delighting in zoomies around the house and batting around her favorite toys, especially springs and sparkly pom-poms. She comes running when she hears the shake of Temptations treats, which are her absolute favorite! Chess responds well to a firm "no" as she learns household boundaries. She has had no issues with eating, drinking, or using the litterbox. While she can be a little skittish around loud noises and new people, with patience and a calm environment, she continues to grow more confident each day. ...
