Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Oh no, you looked at me! Uh, well, I'm Celcius I guess. My siblings and I are named for energy drinks. We were all found outside and completely feral. We sat at Chicago Animal Care and Control scared and despite being insanely adorable, we were looked over because we were a bit hissy and spicy. I may have been the ring leader in that. Now that we have been in a foster home, my siblings have all given into the domesticated life where they love people and have seemingly forgotten how scary people are. I like to think that I haven't given in, but thats a lie. I run away if a human even makes eye contact with me and my little ears go back, but I'm actually a purr machine. It's all a farce. Lately I have been sneaking up to my foster mom while she's laying in bed and flopping on her and purring and demanding pets, even shoving my head under her hand to force her to pet me and cuddling for hours and purring my little brain out. Then, come morning, I act like I have forgotten again. I admit, I may be a work in progress, but if the right family took a chance on me and continued to show me love and affection, they are sure to be rewarded with the sweetest little girl ever! Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home.

Adoption Fees



Kittens (under 6 months): $150


Adults (over 6 months): $125


Seniors / Special Needs: $75

We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you're ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying.


Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)
