Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Hiya. I'm Alani. My siblings and I are named for energy drinks. We were all found outside and completely feral. We sat at Chicago Animal Care and Control scared and despite being insanely adorable, we were looked over because we were a bit hissy and spicy. I am still scared due to my rougher start in my life but I've begun to come out of my shelf. I still run when people try to pick me up but once I am caught I find I actually really enjoy being snuggled. I have begun to sneak into bed with the humans at night to cuddle up with their legs. If a family was willing to take a chance on me and continued to foster love and trust, I am sure to become the loving little girl my foster mom knows I can be. I LOVE to play (teaser toys are my fave!) and go absolutely bonkers for Churu treats. I am the runt of my litter and considerably smaller than my siblings and my foster mom thinks I will stay petite.

Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home.

Adoption Fees



Kittens (under 6 months): $150


Adults (over 6 months): $125


Seniors / Special Needs: $75

We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you're ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying.


Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)
