** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You may need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**
Say hello to the little darling known as Lyra. This practically perfect little girl was brought to us after a kind person found her as a stray kitty, and took care of her until we have room for her at the shelter. Lyra has an estimated birth date of 5/8/25, so she's only about 9 months old. Lyra is an absolute sweetheart and you will fall in love with her as much as we have. She is a total lovebug, and purrs up a storm when she gets love and attention. Lyra doesn't mind being held and really enjoys cuddles and sitting with her people on the couch. She's a laid-back lady who loves everyone. She loves soft, cozy cat beds, and has a ball with cat toys with feathers on them. She seems to get along just fine with other kitties that she's met, so she would likely do well in a home with other feline friends. We don't know for sure how she feels about dogs, but she might be fine with a dog who is cat friendly, and respectful towards her. With her sweet disposition, this little darling would be a wonderful friend for a child. Would you like to meet the practically perfect Lyra?
