Murphy’s story began on the streets, and after being rescued, he spent some time in a retail adoption setting where the environment proved too stressful for him. He struggled to eat and didn’t thrive in that busy space. Once he entered foster care, however, Murphy finally felt safe and his appetite returned with enthusiasm. These days, he’s happily settled into a healthy routine with twice-daily meals to keep him feeling his best.

Murphy can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience, his true personality shines. Once he warms up, he becomes a total lovebug. He is sweet, snuggly, and enjoys staying close to his people.

He would do best in a calm, patient home that understands he may need a little time to adjust. Murphy also prefers having another friendly cat for companionship (He really enjoys his foster room mate, Princess who is also available if looking for a pair) and a consistent feeding schedule of two meals per day.
