Meet Malachi! <3
This mellow, quiet kitten was born at the Rescue to an abandoned mom cat in Aug. 2025. Malachi has a white chest, tummy and mittens. She periodically reaches to be picked up and held upright or cradled like a baby. While held Malachi stretches her paw to touch your nose. She ankle rubs and has a medium purr which is heard quickly around those she knows and trusts. Malachi is friendly with known folks and shy around strangers. Malachi leg rubs to show affection and periodically rolls over for tummy stroking.

She jumps into your lap or lets you place her there and stays for short sessions of petting and brushing. Malachi enjoys watching wildlife at the window. Being an active kitten, she plays by herself with cat toys or interactively with wand toys. Malachi would do best with another pet for a companion. She has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Siblings are available.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
