Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

***Peachy has not been exposed recently to other cats or dogs in the time she spend with her first family, so may do quite well as being the only pet in her new home.

Peachy is an affectionate cat who may be shy in new surroundings but once she warms up, she is very sweet and loving. She is very social with people and is good with children. Peachy enjoys head scratches and chin rubs and will head butt you for attention. She loves to bask in sunspots and watch the birds and squirrels through the window. She loves her scratching posts and a good, tall cat tree would suit her just fine.

Peachy is curious and sometimes will find new places to squeeze into! She is playful, but at night will cuddle up with you. In the morning she is happy to be your alarm and let you know it’s time for breakfast! She enjoys both her wet food and her kibble.

She was originally rescued from a property in Eastern Ontario and was adopted about four years ago. Unfortunately Peachy recently returned to AVA’s care when the small child in the home developed very severe asthma. Peachy has been a beloved member of their family, who hope that her new family will get as much joy from life with her as they did.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
