Joy is the face that tugged at thousands of heartstrings! Those sad eyes? Don’t believe it - Joy is anything but sad! This five-year-old sweetheart is gentle, affectionate, and just the best little companion. She loves pets - especially chin scratches and belly rubs - and will politely (okay, insistently) grab your hand if you dare to stop. She has her playful moments, too! When the mood strikes, she’s all about springs, toy mice, wand toys, and anything stuffed with catnip. Her catnip banana? Absolute favourite. More than anything, though, Joy just wants to be near her people. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, supervising your day-to-day activities like the devoted little sidekick she is. Her top cuddle spot? Your lap, obviously. She also enjoys a good brushing session and will gladly soak up the extra attention. At bedtime, Joy loves a snuggle on the bed with you before you fall asleep and again in the morning, but she’s an independent lady who usually prefers spending the night on her favourite blanket, cat perch, or the couch. The best of both worlds. When it comes to food, Joy for the most part, isn’t picky. She’s happy with any flavour of Fancy Feast, except for Salmon, plus some kibble for late-night snacking. Treats? Yes, please. Temptations and tube treats are at the top of her list. Joy was incredibly shy when she first arrived at her foster home, but after a few days, she began to settle in and reveal her calm, sweet personality. We don’t know how she gets along with other cats, dogs or kids, but we feel a quiet house with someone home often to give her all the attention she craves would be best for her.
Joy was found outside, frozen and alone. A kind citizen brought her to Animal Services, where she received the best care before heading to her foster home. She was understandably scared at first, but in such a short time, she’s shown just how incredibly loving she is.
Joy deserves the best home possible, where she can relax and lounge the day away, getting all the attention and cuddles she deserves. Give her a little time to settle in, and she’ll show you exactly what a devoted, loving companion she can be.
As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.
