Articuno and his brother were rescued at the end of July as little feral 10 week old kittens. I've been working with them for eight weeks now, and he is finally ready for his forever home! He is approximately 4.5 months old, and he has discovered just how much he loves to get pets and affection! And he's got a cute little goatee!
He is now initiating when he wants attention and affection, and comes for pets on his own, that's what we like to see! He is such a sweet boy, he will be shy at first, but once he realizes he can trust you, you will have a new little lap buddy! I would say just because he is still a little trepidatious around unpredictable situations/loud noises, etc., probably not good for a house with young children or a loud, active household. He would probably do best in a calmer environment, at least initially.
He is a prime example of, give the shy ones a chance. I'm attaching a video so you can see that he is a sweetheart! There is nothing like earning the trust of a kitty who was once leery of humans. The bond is just wonderful with these kitties if you just give them a chance!
Articuno has been neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, litter trained, socialized, tested negative for FELV/FIV, and he is microchipped! He is old enough to be adopted on his own, but he does love other kitties and would love to have a kitty friend if you've got one!
Apply online at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption-application (say you saw the cat on Petfinder)
Your donation of $160 will contribute to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, testing, microchipping, deworming, and flea and ear mite treatments.
Adoption includes a free lifetime microchip registration!
