Older, cat-savvy kids who understand and respect her boundaries could be just fine.
She doesn't really like being picked up unless she fully trusts you - she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and come to you on her own terms. Once she feels safe, she'll happily ask for all the attention and soak up the love... but she's also very good at letting you know when she's done and ready for her own space.
She can tolerate other animals, but truthfully, she would love to be the queen of the house - just as she deserves. A quiet home where she can rule her kingdom would make her happiest.
