Betty was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. She is aware that her face appears cranky, but there is nothing she can do about that - she just has a grumpy cat face! Betty is actually a very sweet girl who likes people. She is a little on the shy side and not super confident, which may be part of her inaccurate "don't touch me" vibe. In reality, Betty is quite pleased when a person takes the time to greet her & give her face & neck pets. Folks noting that she has an ear tip may be concerned that she is feral, but rest assured that Betty is a darling girl who is easy to handle. Some low-cost veterinary clinics in Texas insist on tipping the ears of every cat they fix, which is how Betty ended up like this. She will probably never be the cat who eagerly runs to greet any visitors you might have, but we strongly believe that Betty will bond closely with the person or people who take the time to win her little heart.
