Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Looking for a lovebug who has a fierce side? Look no further than Princess Caturina. Named after one of Mr. Rogers’ puppets, Caturina is equal parts adorable lovebug and serious warrior. At approximately two years old, Caturina knows her own mind – what she likes, what she doesn’t, and how to let the human can openers know which is which.

A beautiful female tabby with white paws and a mostly white belly with a tabby stripe down the middle, Caturina will need patience for awhile in her new home. Having spent her entire life thus far in a few different foster homes, she doesn’t trust easily, but once she knows she’s safe, she’s a lovebug who will jump into a lap for an hour (or more!) of cuddle time without a moment of hesitation.

Caturina enjoys chasing wand toys (she jumps like a caracal!), watching catnip bubbles, interrupting foster mom’s work for attention, and lounging in superior places of up. She loves ear scratches and gentle shoulder rubs the most. She has been known to enjoy longer petting strokes down her back but not always. It’s important to pay attention to her body language.

She likes playing with her brother and sister but would still require a slow introduction to future pet siblings. Cat-savvy children (who understand how to give a kitty space) should be fine as well, but she isn’t recommended for families with young children as she will swat with claws out if her first warning isn’t heeded.

Finally, as with many cats, Caturina lives for Churu (or Friskies Lickables). She will literally stop everything for a Churu so her foster mom will be sending a few extras of those with her to her furever family.

Caturina is currently housed with two of her littermates, but she isn’t bonded to either one and would probably do better on her own or with a new sibling instead of with one of them. If you’re interested in meeting Caturin, fill out an application and ask for a link to her Google photo album.
