Gizmo is a sweet boy who came to us as a feral kitten, and he’s still very much a work in progress. He is currently more fearful than his sister and is still learning that people can be trusted. New situations, new sounds, and new humans can be overwhelming for him, and he needs time to feel safe.
That said, Gizmo is already showing small signs that he’s starting to process his new world. While he’s not ready for hands-on affection yet, we truly believe his confidence is going to grow — he just needs the right environment and the right person to help him get there.
Gizmo will need a very patient, calm, and experienced home — someone who understands shy or formerly feral kittens and won’t rush him or expect quick progress. A quiet household is essential. Having another calm, confident cat could be a big help, as Gizmo does take cues from other cats and feels safer when he’s not alone.
This is not a cat for someone looking for instant affection. This is a cat for someone who finds joy in watching trust develop step by step and understands that the most meaningful bonds take time.
