Hi, Im Pewter!For a long time, my life was all about being a devoted mama. I raised Muffin and another litter of kittens (all Heavenly Paws graduates!), and now Im finally getting the chance to learn who I am. When I arrived in foster care in mid-November, I was afraid of being touched, but with patience, kindness, and consistency, Ive made wonderful progress and learned that gentle hands can be safe.
Im now a full-on purr machine with my foster mom and truly enjoy affection. Weve even started training time (Ive mastered boop, if I do say so myself)! I take my time getting to know new people and prefer to build trust with each person I meet, but once I do, Im very loving. Im comfortable with familiar visitors and absolutely adore my foster uncle Tucker. He taught me how fun playtime can be! I love stalking feather toys and showing off my silly side while tossing my little fish around. Im getting used to the dog in my foster home and continue to grow more confident every day. I still prefer a calm environment but am curious and brave in my own quiet way.
I would do well as an only cat or with a friendly feline companion. Im looking for a calm, quiet home with an experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time and is happy to let our bond grow at my pace.
