Suspected HBC (hit by car) 8month old intact male cat with multiple serious injuries requiring rescue placement and ongoing specialty care.
Medical Findings
Non–weight-bearing on left pelvic limb
Left distal tibia/fibula fracture with an open, infected paw wound
Left femoral neck fracture Mild wounds in the intrascapular region
Symblepharon with corneal opacity affecting one eye
Pelvic and hind limb radiographs confirmed fractures
. Currently on pain medications and antibiotics. Left pelvic limb may heal with regular bandage changes and wound monitoring but will also depend on healing of femoral neck and tib/ fib fracture. May need leg amputation. Urgent rescue commitment needed.
