Meet Tart!
Hi I’m Tart — sweet, never salty, and a little quirky, but oh-so-worth-it!
I’m a gorgeous little lady that isn’t just a pretty face — I’m a gentle soul with a heart full of love waiting to bloom. I may be a bit reserved at first, but once I trust you, I become incredibly affectionate and devoted in my own charming way.
I’m delightfully quirky — full of personality — and while I LOVE being close to my people, I prefer affection on my terms (I’m not a big fan of being picked up). Think of me as your loving shadow, who gives gentle head bumps, and cozy companionship rather than a pick-me-up kitty. I’ll let you know by being a bit squirmy, but never hostile or mean, that is just not in my nature.
I was born this past April and rescued with my mama and siblings from under a Detroit home, I am now safe, healthy, and ready for my forever family.
I would love to be adopted with one of my kitten friends—Hiccup, Lily, Astrid, Tuff Nut,—or into a home with another friendly cat. Double the cats, double the warmth! If that’s not possible, she'd be just as happy joining a home with a young, friendly kitty to keep her company.
Tart is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
