I enjoy the company of those who approach me with patience and kindness, and I have discovered that I quite like being held and petted, though I prefer to set the pace of our interactions. There is something wonderfully peaceful about a quiet moment with someone who understands my need for personal space, and I believe this balance will make for a beautiful friendship. I may not be the most gregarious character in the story of shelter life, nor am I the shyest, but rather I exist somewhere in that middle chapter where trust is earned through consistency and care.
